Ace Chef, Nita Mehta interacted with the budding chefs at Chitkara School of Culinary Arts
Nita Mehta, an Indian celebrity chef, author, restaurateur and a media personality known for her cookbooks, visited Chitkara School of Culinary Arts. She interacted with the students and told them the nuances of fine cooking with details on some specific recipes.
During her interaction, she answered several questions that students often face while preparing delicacies or serving. She shared her profound knowledge by demonstrating a few recipes, including a paneer dish called ‘Manzilein Paneer’ and a salad named Curried Mayonnaise Salad. During the demonstration, Nita stood with our budding chefs and encouraged them to try something new every now and then. Together they prepared some mouthwatering salads and the Nita Mehta signature paneer dish. She stated that some key points need to be kept in mind while cooking and it is vital we add or remove certain ingredients to make a dish our signature dish, which requires a lot of creativity and experience.
She also thanked the faculty, staff and students of Chitkara University and shared photographs of her visit to Chitkara University on her Facebook page. Her cooking method motivated the culinary arts students to achieve greater heights in their endeavours.
