SPECIALISATION IN CYBER SECURITY in academic collaboration with Quick Heal Academy

After completion of 4th semester in B.E. Computer Science and Engineering, the students have the opportunity to pursue specialisation in Cyber Security.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Cyber Security is a branch of Digital Forensic Science pertaining to legal evidence found in the cyber space and digital storage media. In the digital age, the need for cyber experts has grown exponentially as the country is heading towards an internet explosion mostly fuelled by e-commerce, e-banking, e-governance and the social media. Cyber Security technologies, processes and practices are designed to protect networks, computers, programs and data from damage or unauthorised access.

Computer Forensic Science involves the application of investigation and analysis techniques to gather and preserve evidence from the target computing device in a way that is suitable for presentation in a court of law. The goal of Computer Forensics is to perform a structured investigation while maintaining a documented chain of evidence to find out exactly what happened on a computing device and who was responsible for it.
