The PsychExpressions Club of Chitkara School of Psychology and Counselling hosted “Let’s Talk, Let’s Heal,” an open mic event marking UN Mental Wellness Month at Maslow Hall. The hour-long event provided students with a platform to express their thoughts and experiences through poetry, stories and music.

Guided by faculty in-charge Aayushi, the event brought together students who used creative expression to share personal experiences and perspectives on emotions and mental wellbeing. The performances created an open and supportive setting where participants could listen to one another and engage with different experiences.

The event was attended by 64 participants and highlighted the role of peer support and open conversations in promoting mental wellbeing. Through poetry, storytelling and music, students explored themes related to emotions, personal experiences and the importance of being heard.

The initiative also encouraged students to approach conversations around mental health with greater openness and understanding. By providing a safe space for creative expression, the event contributed to efforts to reduce stigma and make discussions around mental wellbeing more accessible on campus.

“Let’s Talk, Let’s Heal” reflected the PsychExpressions Club’s efforts to create opportunities for students to connect, express themselves and support one another through meaningful conversations around mental health.
