The Department of Clinical Psychology conducted a session titled “Different Ways, Same Value: Learning and Playing Together” for 16 children aged 4–8 at the Elementary School, Ramnagar. The session focused on helping children understand and appreciate differences in how people learn, play and express their feelings.

Alka and Divyanshu used interactive games, play and storytelling to make the session engaging and age-appropriate. Through these activities, the children learnt that everyone may have different ways of learning, playing and responding to situations.

The session encouraged children to recognise and respect these differences while interacting with their peers. Through group activities, they practised kindness, patience and cooperation, while exploring how their words and actions can affect others.

The children were also encouraged to accept differences among their friends and understand the importance of including everyone in activities. Discussions and activities highlighted the need to avoid teasing, exclusion and other behaviours that may make others feel uncomfortable.

The session provided an interactive setting for children to develop social and emotional skills through shared learning and play. Such initiatives help introduce children to values of empathy, respect and cooperation while supporting positive relationships and inclusive behaviour from an early age.
