The NSS Unit of Chitkara School of Psychology and Counselling, in collaboration with the Department of Clinical Psychology, organised a seven-day Special Camp for 72 student volunteers. The camp brought together a range of community engagement, awareness and wellbeing activities, giving students an opportunity to participate in initiatives beyond the classroom.

The program included a mental health awareness rally, community screening drive, wellness counselling and first-aid training, along with a plantation drive. Awareness sessions were also conducted on menstrual health, legal rights, drug abuse and HIV/AIDS, covering topics relevant to health, safety and community wellbeing.

Each day began with yoga and mindfulness activities, helping participants start their schedule with a focus on physical and mental wellbeing. The days concluded with cultural expression, providing students with an opportunity to showcase their creativity and connect with one another.

The camp also encouraged students to engage with community needs and understand the importance of awareness, responsibility and collective participation. Through a combination of educational sessions, social activities and community-focused initiatives, the program provided volunteers with practical exposure to the principles of social service.

The seven-day camp reflected the NSS motto, “Not Me, But You,” emphasising the importance of contributing to the community and placing collective wellbeing at the centre of student engagement.
