Chitkara University explores academic collaboration with New Zealand institutions

Chitkara University participated in the New Zealand–India Applied Learning Connect hosted by Education New Zealand (ENZ) at the New Zealand High Commission in New Delhi. The engagement brought together New Zealand Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics (ITPs) and Private Training Establishments (PTEs) to discuss opportunities in applied learning, skills development, innovation, research and international education.

The high-level roundtable and networking reception provided a platform for Chitkara University to explore areas of mutual interest and potential academic collaboration with New Zealand education providers.

Hazel Siromoni, Pro Vice Chancellor (Strategic Initiatives), highlighted the University’s focus on education, skills development, innovation and research. She also shared the University’s internationalisation efforts and its network of 250+ international partners across 48 countries.

The engagement included interactions with Patrick John Rata, New Zealand High Commissioner to India, Adrian Hirst, Regional Director, India and South Asia, Education New Zealand and Jugnu Roy, Regional Director, Education New Zealand.

Speaking about the engagement, Dr. Madhu Chitkara, President and Co-Founder, Chitkara University, said, “International academic engagement gives our faculty and students opportunities to learn from different education systems and develop meaningful academic connections. Discussions such as these help us identify areas where institutions can share knowledge and experience, particularly in applied learning and innovation.”

The engagement adds to Chitkara University’s international academic partnerships and its ongoing efforts to create opportunities for knowledge exchange, applied learning and innovation.
