Chitkara University organises powerlifting tournament for students

The Chitkara University Sports Board organised a Powerlifting Tournament for students, with competitions held across four weight categories for men and women.

In the Women’s Open Weight Category, Ria Khurana secured first place, followed by Aditi Sharma in second and Yashika Verma in third.

In the Men’s Light Weight Category, Advitiya Kumar Tyagi secured first place, followed by Harsdeep Singh in second and Keshav Singla in third. In the Middle Weight Category, Tommy Marquis Mason finished first, with Vansh Thakur and Chiraj Soni securing second and third places, respectively. In the Heavy Weight Category, Anshdeep Singh secured first place, followed by Parth Kaushal in second and Mohit in third.

The tournament gave students an opportunity to compete in powerlifting across different weight categories as part of the sporting activities conducted by the Chitkara University Sports Board. It also formed part of the University’s wider sports and co-curricular activities.
