Chitkara University hosts Battle of Bands 2026 grand finale

Chitkara University hosted the grand finale of Battle of Bands 2026, bringing together young bands from across the country for an evening of live music across rock, metal, melody and soul.
The competition featured performances by emerging artists. Anarkhy secured first position, followed by Irtiash, the university’s band formed by students of C2S2 Dhwani, in second place with a cash prize of ₹30,000. Vile Exile secured the third position.

The event was attended by Dr. Madhu Chitkara, President and Co-Founder, Chitkara University. Speaking about the role of such platforms in supporting young artists, Dr. Madhu Chitkara said, “Music gives young artists a space to express themselves with confidence and discipline. Events such as Battle of Bands provide an opportunity for them to perform, connect with audiences and be recognised for their work.”

The evening concluded with a performance by Firdaus Band, featuring soulful melodies, romantic favourites and a patriotic finale. Lights and fire performances added to the atmosphere as the audience joined in during the closing performance.

Battle of Bands 2026 was part of Chitkara University’s activities that give students and young artists opportunities to engage with music, performance and creative expression.
