Chitkara University becomes an Agentic AI University through Google Cloud collaboration

Chitkara University has announced a strategic collaboration with Google Cloud to launch Digital Campus on Google Cloud 4.0 – Agentic AI Campus, marking a significant step in its journey towards becoming one of India’s first Agentic AI Universities. As part of this initiative, the University has also emerged as one of the early adopters of Google Gemini Enterprise, further strengthening its commitment to integrating advanced technologies into teaching, learning, research, and administration.

The collaboration reflects a shared vision of preparing learners and educators for an increasingly AI-driven future by creating an academic environment where intelligent technologies support learning, innovation, and decision-making across disciplines.

The milestone was commemorated during a special ceremony where Dr. Madhu Chitkara, President and Co Founder of Chitkara University, was honoured with a plaque by Vaibhav Srivastava, India Head – EdTechs & Education, Google Cloud. The recognition acknowledged the University’s continued efforts to embrace emerging technologies and create future-ready learning ecosystems.

Through the launch of the Agentic AI Campus, Chitkara University will embed Artificial Intelligence, cloud technologies, intelligent automation, and data-driven learning frameworks across a wide range of academic disciplines. These include Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Law, Design, Health Sciences and Media Studies. The initiative aims to ensure that students not only understand the theoretical foundations of these technologies but also gain practical exposure to their real-world applications.

The collaboration will provide access to Google for Education Plus and Gemini Enterprise for more than 10,000 learners and educators across the University ecosystem. These tools are expected to support teaching, research, collaboration, content creation, problem-solving and personalised learning experiences.

As part of the initiative, students and faculty members will also benefit from structured AI and cloud training programs designed to build industry-relevant skills. The learning pathways will include hands-on cloud laboratories, global certification opportunities, industry-recognised credentials, hackathons, skill credits and collaborative projects. These experiences will help learners develop practical competencies that are increasingly valued in the digital economy.
