Chitkara University Hosts CYBER XCELERATE 2026 Cybersecurity Hackathon

The Centre for Cybersecurity Research and Education (C3R) at Chitkara University organised CYBER XCELERATE 2026, a 24-hour AI-powered cybersecurity hackathon, bringing together student teams to develop cybersecurity solutions using Artificial Intelligence under the theme, “Accelerating Intelligence – Securing Tomorrow.”

The hackathon featured inaugural and keynote sessions, followed by the main competition. A total of 91 teams registered for the event, and 22 shortlisted teams advanced to the final round.

During the final round, participating teams presented their projects before a panel of experts from academia and industry. The projects focused on using AI-based approaches to address cybersecurity challenges and practical issues in the field.

The event gave students an opportunity to work on real-world cybersecurity problems, collaborate in teams, and present their ideas before experts. It was organised as part of the university’s ongoing academic and research activities in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and cybersecurity.
