Chitkara University Students Receive Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship

Two graduates of Chitkara University have been awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s Meritorious 50% Scholarship (India) by Deakin University, recognising their academic performance. Parth Bhandari (Bachelor of Engineering – CSE, Batch 2023) and Ishan Attri (Bachelor of Engineering, CSE AI, Batch 2021) received the scholarship at a ceremony held on campus.
The event was attended by Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro Chancellor, Chitkara University, and Ravneet Pawha, Vice President (Global Engagement) and CEO (South Asia), Deakin University, along with senior representatives from Deakin’s School of Engineering and Built Environment and its South Asia partnerships team.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Madhu Chitkara said, “Such opportunities reflect the importance of sustained academic effort and the value of building strong institutional partnerships that support students in accessing international education pathways.”
The Vice-Chancellor’s Meritorious Scholarship is awarded to selected students from India and enables partial tuition support for further studies at Deakin University. The award also provides recipients with the possibility of pursuing higher education at Deakin’s campuses in Australia, offering exposure to an international academic environment.
The recognition of these students reflects ongoing academic collaborations between Chitkara University and Deakin University, aimed at facilitating student mobility and expanding access to global learning opportunities within structured academic frameworks.
