Chitkara University Wins Silver in BGMI Women’s Event at Inter University E-Sports Championship

Chitkara University, Punjab won the silver medal in the BGMI Women’s Event at the All India Inter University (M&W) E-Sports Championship 2026. The championship was held from 11 to 13 March 2026 at the SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Delhi-NCR Campus in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.

The event brought together university teams from across the country to compete in different e-sports categories. In the BGMI women’s event, the Chitkara University team secured second place after competing against several universities at the national level.

The result reflects the growing participation of university students in organised electronic sports competitions. E-sports events are increasingly being included alongside traditional sports in national inter-university championships.
