Chitkara University Hosts Arizona State University Delegation for Academic Engagement

Chitkara University hosted Dr. Lois Malone, Associate Director – Global Academic Initiatives, and Dr. Owen Anderson, faculty member at Arizona State University, for an academic visit focused on scholarly interaction and discussions on global higher education. The visit included specialised sessions for students and faculty associated with the ASU cohort at the university.

During their time on campus, Dr. Malone and Dr. Anderson delivered co-lectures on Socratic Philosophy, Theistic Proofs, and the Laws of Causality. The sessions gave students and faculty an opportunity to engage with philosophical ideas and discuss their relevance in present-day academic study.

The delegation also met with Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro Chancellor, Chitkara University, where discussions focused on emerging opportunities and current challenges in international higher education, along with possibilities for continued collaboration between the two institutions.

Reflecting on the interaction, Dr. Madhu Chitkara said, “Engagements such as this allow institutions to exchange academic perspectives and reflect on how universities can work together while responding to the changing landscape of higher education.”

The visit formed part of ongoing academic engagements linked to the ASU cohort at Chitkara University and added to continuing exchanges between the two universities in areas of shared academic interest.
