Chitkara University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Nutanix to establish a Centre of Excellence in Hybrid Cloud Technologies. The agreement sets out a collaborative initiative to connect academic learning with industry practice in the field of cloud computing.

The MoU was formalised in the presence of Dr. Cavita Taragi, Pro Vice Chancellor, Career Advancement Services at the university, and Mandar Marulkar, Senior Director, Professional Services at Nutanix. The partnership provides a formal basis for engagement in areas related to hybrid cloud infrastructure and enterprise systems.

Under the initiative, students will gain access to expert-led sessions, enterprise platforms, and application-oriented exercises designed to reflect current industry practices. The Centre will focus on strengthening technical understanding of hybrid cloud environments and supporting the development of competencies relevant to evolving professional requirements.

Hybrid cloud technologies remain central to enterprise computing, enabling organisations to manage data, applications and infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments. The proposed Centre will operate within the university’s existing academic framework, complementing technology-focused programs through direct industry collaboration and practice-oriented learning opportunities.

The collaboration forms part of the university’s continuing efforts to integrate industry engagement into academic delivery in areas shaped by ongoing technological change.
