Chitkara University Engages in AI and Academic Exchange at India–Arab President Summit

Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro Chancellor of Chitkara University, attended the India–Arab University Presidents’ Summit hosted by Ajman University, with the support of the University Grants Commission and the Association of Arab Universities. The summit brought together Presidents, Vice Chancellors and senior academic leaders from India and the Arab region to strengthen institutional partnerships and advance collaborative academic initiatives.
Dr. Chitkara participated in the Presidential Roundtable titled “Bridging Two Civilisations: From AI to Quantum and Beyond”, where discussions focused on establishing practical and outcome-oriented models of cooperation between institutions. The dialogue examined how artificial intelligence, innovation and emerging technologies can be aligned with academic exchange, joint research and industry collaboration to expand structured opportunities for young people.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Chitkara outlined the university’s approach to integrating advanced technologies with human values and ethical grounding. “As institutions deepen cross-regional engagement, academic initiatives must be guided by clarity of purpose and demonstrable progress,” she said. “Technology must be accompanied by responsibility, and universities have a duty to support both intellectual growth and student wellbeing.”
She also referred to the importance of balancing academic excellence with social awareness, noting the need to cultivate Social Quotient and Happiness Quotient alongside disciplinary expertise.
The Summit provided a platform for sustained dialogue between Indian and Arab institutions. Through its participation, Chitkara University indicated its continued engagement in international partnerships contributing to education, research and student development.
