Chitkara University NSS Observes Republic Day with Plantation Drive

The National Service Scheme at Chitkara University organised a tree plantation drive in the presence of Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro-Chancellor, Chitkara University, along with other dignitaries who joined students and faculty in planting young saplings.
Organised as part of the Republic Day celebrations, the drive connected the national occasion with care for the environment. By planting trees, the university community marked the day through a simple and responsible action.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Madhu Chitkara said that Republic Day serves as a reminder of shared responsibilities as citizens. “Planting a tree is a small step, but it reflects our duty to think about the future and act with care,” she said.
The event formed part of the university’s Republic Day program and reflected its continued engagement in community-oriented initiatives.
