Chitkara University Hosted 32nd International Public Health Program

Chitkara University hosted 50 senior doctors from 29 countries under the 32nd International Public Health Management Development Program (IPHMDP), a flagship initiative of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, conducted through the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Programme scheme. The program focused on sharing India’s public health practices and promoting international cooperation in support of the Sustainable Development Goals.
During their time at the University, the delegation participated in discussions on public health policy, health systems management, and applied research. The interaction enabled an exchange of perspectives between senior practitioners from different countries and the University’s academic leadership on current public health priorities.
The discussions also identified potential areas for academic collaboration, including joint research proposals, international grant applications, intellectual property development, and co-authored publications. Structured academic exchanges were also considered.
The program contributed to the University’s broader efforts to strengthen international academic engagement and expand collaboration in public health research and policy dialogue.
