Chitkara University Recognised by CII for Advancing Women in STEM

Chitkara University has been recognised among India’s top 50 organisations by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for its work in advancing women in STEM. The recognition was conferred as part of the second edition of CII’s excellence awards, evaluated by a jury comprising leading academicians, industrialists, business leaders, and scientists from across the country.
This marks the second consecutive time that Chitkara University has received the award, reflecting continuity in its institutional focus on supporting women’s participation and leadership in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Commenting on the recognition, Dr. Madhu Chitkara said, “Creating pathways for women in STEM requires consistent institutional effort over time. This recognition reinforces the importance of building academic environments where women are supported to participate, progress, and lead across scientific and technical disciplines.”
Chitkara University continues to integrate equity and inclusion considerations into its academic and institutional framework, with a focus on long-term participation of women in STEM education and related fields.
