Yoga Evenings at Columbus Hostel Bring Calm, Energy and Community

Chitkara Happiness Centre organised a three-day Yoga Workshop in collaboration with the Office of Residential Services in the outer area of Columbus Hostel. The workshop offered students a refreshing opportunity to practise yoga in a serene outdoor setting, supporting both physical fitness and mental calm. Under the guidance of Mr. Pradeep Yogi, participants performed various asanas, including Surya Namaskar, and engaged in basic meditation techniques that helped them relax, focus and cultivate mindfulness.
The peaceful ambience of the hostel surroundings added to the calming atmosphere, making each session a meaningful and rejuvenating experience for the students. Their enthusiastic participation and positive feedback reflected a genuine interest in embracing yoga as a healthy habit and a tool for emotional balance. Encouraged by the success of this initiative, Chitkara Happiness Centre and the Office of Residential Services plan to introduce regular yoga sessions within the hostel premises, integrating wellness into students’ daily lives and supporting their holistic development.
The Centre extends heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Pradeep Yogi for his valuable guidance and to all the students for their active involvement, which played a vital role in making the workshop impactful. Committed to nurturing a culture of well-being, mindfulness and positive living, Chitkara Happiness Centre will continue to curate such initiatives to enrich the overall campus experience and help students lead happier, healthier lives.
