On 12th August 2025, Chitkara University, Punjab, observed International Youth Day with an Anti-Ragging Campaign organised by the National Service Scheme. The initiative went beyond a formal event, serving as a reminder that campuses should nurture both intellect and humanity.

The day began with a debate and essay-writing competition, inviting students to reflect on the emotional and social impact of ragging. Participants discussed the importance of empathy, personal responsibility and respect in creating a safe and inclusive campus environment. Their efforts encouraged thoughtful introspection and dialogue, demonstrating that every individual plays a role in fostering dignity within shared spaces.

Adding depth to the programme, C2S2 Nat Samrat performed a nukkad natak, portraying the realities of ragging and the resilience of those who stand against it. Each scene and dialogue engaged the audience, encouraging them to understand the consequences of intimidation and the value of courage.

Through debates, essays, and performances, the campaign highlighted that awareness alone is insufficient, lasting change requires active participation and collective responsibility. The event reinforced Chitkara University’s commitment to cultivating a campus where learning goes hand in hand with compassion, respect, and ethical behaviour, ensuring that every student can thrive in a safe and supportive environment.
