Chitkara University Student Wins Silver at Under-23 UP State Wrestling Championship

Chitkara University once again celebrates a remarkable sporting achievement as one of its students secured laurels at the Under-23 Uttar Pradesh State Wrestling Championship (Men’s Freestyle). The championship was held at S.S. Education Institute, Agra, Uttar Pradesh, from 8th–10th August 2025, bringing together some of the most promising wrestling talents from across the state.

Abhishek Nagar, a 1st Year MBA Retail Management student, delivered an inspiring performance in the championship, clinching the Silver Medal in the 125 kg weight category (Freestyle). Competing against highly skilled opponents, Abhishek demonstrated exceptional strength, agility, and determination on the mat, making his way to the finals and proudly securing second place.

His achievement not only highlights his personal dedication and perseverance but also reflects Chitkara University’s unwavering commitment to fostering sporting excellence alongside academic growth.
