Chitkara University Wrestlers Strike Double Gold at Haryana State Wrestling Championship

Chitkara University proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of its talented wrestlers, Deepak and Sagar, who showcased remarkable skill and determination at the Under-23 Haryana State Wrestling Championship (Men’s Greco-Roman) held at Green Valley Convent School, Farmana (Maham), Rohtak, from 9th to 10th August 2025.

Deepak, a BBA 2nd-year Sports Management student, clinched the Gold Medal in the 61 kg weight category, displaying extraordinary agility, stamina, and tactical brilliance. His performance on the mat reflected months of rigorous training and unwavering focus.

Joining him in this golden triumph, Sagar, an MBA Retail Management 1st-year student, emerged victorious in the 87 kg weight category, overpowering his opponents with exceptional strength, resilience, and strategic execution. His commanding presence and disciplined approach led him to an emphatic win.

The championship witnessed participation from some of the finest wrestling talents across Haryana, making these victories even more prestigious. Both athletes demonstrated not only technical mastery but also the sportsmanship and perseverance that define Chitkara University’s sporting ethos.
