Chitkara University Partners with CII Institute of Logistics to Advance Industry Aligned Learning
Chitkara University has taken a significant step towards shaping future-ready professionals by formalising a strategic partnership with the CII Institute of Logistics (CII–IL). This collaboration marks a purposeful move to strengthen curriculum enrichment and applied learning, ensuring students gain both academic depth and industry relevance.
The partnership was initiated through a high-level academic–industry dialogue that brought together Prof. (Dr.) Sandhir Sharma, Vice Chancellor, Chitkara University; Dr. Neeraj Anand, Dean, Supply Chain and General Management, Chitkara Business School; and Dr. K. Bhanumati, COO, CII–IL. This meeting reinforced a shared vision of blending rigorous academic frameworks with practical industry insights to better prepare graduates for the evolving global marketplace.
As part of the initiative, CII–IL will integrate domain-specific knowledge directly into the learning environment at Chitkara University. Students will gain exposure to global best practices, real-world problem-solving approaches, and cutting-edge trends in logistics and supply chain management. The first major milestone of this collaboration will be the introduction of a specialised module on Multimodal Transportation, scheduled for delivery to MBA–LSCM students at Chitkara Business School in September 2025. The module will be conducted in an experiential, case-based format, facilitated by seasoned logistics practitioners with deep industry expertise.
This forward-looking approach aligns closely with Chitkara University’s mission to deliver education that meets high academic standards while addressing the dynamic demands of industry. By combining theoretical learning with immersive, practice-led exposure, the collaboration aims to equip students with the skills, knowledge, and mindset needed to excel in both national and international logistics landscapes.
Through this partnership, Chitkara University reaffirms its commitment to fostering industry-ready leaders who can contribute meaningfully to the advancement of the logistics and supply chain ecosystem worldwide.
