Chitkara University Shines at National Kickboxing Championship with Triple Silver Win

Chitkara University continues to make headlines for its sporting excellence as two of its students brought home three Silver Medals from the prestigious National Kickboxing Championship (Men & Women) held in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, from 16th to 21st July 2025.

Madhu, a second-year MBA in Retail Management student, showcased outstanding skill and determination in the ring, winning two Silver Medals in the Under 55 kg Weight Category—one in Point Fight and the other in Kick Light. Her remarkable agility and technique stood out among tough national-level competitors, earning her accolades and appreciation from peers and mentors alike.

Adding to the medal tally, Somil Pathania, a fourth-year student from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, also clinched a Silver Medal in the Under 47 kg Weight Category – Point Fight. His quick reflexes, strategic movements, and sheer passion for the sport impressed the audience and judges alike.

Their success at such a prestigious national-level platform reflects the university’s commitment to nurturing talent in both academics and athletics. It also highlights the growing prominence of combat sports among Chitkara University students.
