Skill Week 2025 at Chitkara University: Igniting the Spark of Innovation and Hands-on Learning

Chitkara University, Punjab, is all set to host Skill Week 2025, a dynamic and engaging week-long event designed to cultivate hands-on skills and foster innovation among students. The event, themed “Turn the Spark into Skills – Let’s Ignite!” will run from April 21st to 25th, 2025, at the CUIET- Applied Engineering, Tesla Block.

The initiative, under the leadership of Dr. V.K. Jadon, Dean, CUIET – Applied Engineering, aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application by offering students a comprehensive platform to explore and develop technical expertise.

Skill Week 2025 will feature an impressive line-up of workshops and activities, including Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) using ANSYS, MATLAB applications in autonomous and electric vehicles, Embedded Systems and Arduino, Reverse Engineering concepts using CAD, and Product Development through Project-Based Learning. Other highlights include CNC Machining and Metrology, Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Systems, Industrial Panel buildings, and Motor Starter Systems with PLC Control.

The event also emphasises safety and industry readiness through on-site industrial visits, hands-on emergency response drills, and CPR and basic life-saving techniques.
The event is supported by the Department Deans: Dr. Ajay Goyal (Civil Engineering), Dr. Rajesh Sharma (Mechanical Engineering), Dr. Shaily Jain (Minor-CSE Engineering), Dr. Abhineet Saini (Mechatronics Engineering), and Dr. Arrik Khanna (Electrical Engineering).
