Students observe World AIDS Day

Chitkara College of Nursing, Chitkara University, Punjab, organized poster competition on HIV/AIDS. This was done to observe the World AIDS Day at the University.

All the students of Chitkara University participated with great enthusiasm .They exhibited their talent through their artwork. The theme for the competition was HIV AIDS. The students expressed their ideas through colors, sketches and pencil colours and accompanied with relative capture and slogans on posters.

It was a great opportunity to watch these young minds trying to create their ideas about HIV AIDS and its prevention. We appreciated their participation, though everyone gave their best response but being a competition, the competition were adjudged by Dr. Sandeep Arora, Director, Chitkara College of Pharmacy. Chitkara University, Punjab.

Pukhraj Kaur student of Chitkara college of Education, won the first prize, Vandana Munjal of CSE got the second prize and Arshdeep Kaur from Chitkara college of nursing on the third prize.

The prizes and certificates were distributed to students by Dr. Sandeep Arora and Harmeet Kaur, Principal, Chitkara College of Nursing.

Faculty of Chitkara College of nursing recorded a radio talk on awareness regarding HIV /AIDS on community radio Chitkara 107.8 FM, which was aired on December 1, 2013. They covered important aspects of HIV/AIDS prevention and myths and misconception regarding AIDS.
