Nursing Department Marks Global Hand Washing Day at Kalomajra School

Chitkara University observed Global Handwashing Day through an awareness activity organised at the Elementary School, Kalomajra, Punjab, with the objective of sensitising school children to the importance of hand hygiene.

The activity focused on building basic awareness around personal cleanliness and healthy habits. Through simple explanations, demonstrations, and interactive engagement, students were introduced to the importance of washing hands with soap and water as part of everyday routines. Guidance on correct handwashing practices was shared to help children understand how regular hand hygiene can reduce the risk of common infections.

The initiative formed part of Chitkara University’s ongoing efforts to engage with the community through health education and awareness activities, reinforcing the role of preventive practices in everyday life.
