Chitkara University Hosts Leadership Development Program for Spray Engineering Devices Limited

Chitkara University hosted a transformative Management Development Program on 5th August 2025 for the leaders of Spray Engineering Devices Limited, under the theme “Excellence by Design – Define Your Own Leadership Journey.” Conducted by Manav Bansal, Chief Happiness Officer, the one-day workshop offered a powerful blend of reflection, interaction, and practical leadership tools.

The session began with the impactful Funeral Activity, where participants were encouraged to reflect on their legacy, purpose, and the kind of impact they wish to create within their organisation and beyond. This exercise set the tone for a day of deep self-discovery and redefined perspectives on leadership.

A key highlight was the Commitment-Capability Matrix, through which leaders mapped their teams and identified contextual leadership strategies. The workshop emphasised that leadership is not one-size-fits-all, but a dynamic journey shaped by empathy, adaptability, and an understanding of individual needs.

Throughout the program, participants explored themes such as situational and empathetic leadership, motivational drivers, and the idea of giving value through leadership rather than exercising control. The day concluded with the Appreciation Circle, where each participant experienced the transformative power of genuine acknowledgment and gratitude.
