Chitkara University Hosts Fourth Edition of Chitkara Lit Fest

Chitkara University hosted the fourth edition of the Chitkara Lit Fest, bringing together prominent figures from literature, advertising, cricket, and contemporary fiction. The annual festival drew participation from over 1,000 students and faculty members, offering a space for dialogue, learning, and engagement with established professionals.
The event opened with a live poetry recital by Abhisar Geeta Shukla, followed by a book signing session that allowed students to interact directly with the poet. Prahlad Kakkar, noted advertising filmmaker, then shared insights into the changing landscape of advertising, the role of bold storytelling, and creative risks, concluding his session with audience interaction and a book signing.
Former Indian cricketer and commentator Sanjay Manjrekar joined former IAS officer and author Vivek Atray for a conversation on professional sport, mental resilience, leadership, and post-career perspectives, which concluded with a bat signing ceremony. The final author session featured Ravinder Singh in conversation with RJ and author Vinayaka Sharma, discussing the evolving expectations of readers and the role of emotional authenticity in storytelling. The day concluded with a live performance by singer Justh.
Reflecting on the festival, Dr Madhu Chitkara, Pro Chancellor, Chitkara University, said, “Chitkara Lit Fest has consistently served as a platform where ideas meet inspiration. Through sustained dialogue with distinguished professionals, we aim to cultivate intellectual curiosity, creative confidence, and meaningful expression among our students.”
Now in its fourth year, the Chitkara Lit Fest has become a recurring fixture in the region’s cultural calendar, offering students direct engagement with accomplished professionals and supporting Chitkara University’s broader commitment to holistic education and creative learning.
