Chitkara University Concludes Sports Week 2025 with Enthusiasm and Sporting Spirit under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan

The Chitkara University Sports Board successfully organised Sports Week 2025 from 25th to 29th August 2025, commemorating National Sports Day under the banner of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. The week-long celebration highlighted the values of fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a drug-free lifestyle.
The event began with a spirited inauguration that saw enthusiastic participation from students across disciplines. Over the five days, multiple competitions were held across indoor and outdoor sports, with the campus buzzing with energy, discipline, and healthy competition. On 29th August 2025, students took the National Sports Day pledge, reaffirming their dedication to sports and a healthy, substance-free lifestyle.
This year’s Sports Week witnessed the participation of 467 students, who competed in diverse sporting events including Pickleball, Table Tennis, Badminton, Powerlifting (Deadlift), Pool, Volleyball, and Basketball. The competitions offered thrilling moments, nail-biting finishes, and a strong display of talent.
In Pickleball, Team Splashar (Sparsh Malik, CSE & Ishan, Mech. Eng) clinched the Men’s Doubles title, while Team Nutrition (Payal & Princy, Nutrition) emerged champions in Women’s Doubles. Badminton saw Naina Trehan (MCA) and Ansh Arora (CSE) win the Women’s and Men’s Singles titles, respectively. In Table Tennis, Harshit Sharma (CSE AI) and Sneha Sundriyal (B. Arch.) emerged champions in Men’s and Women’s Singles.
The Pool (Men) title went to Gurkirat Singh (CSE), while Volleyball (Men) was dominated by Team Old School. The Basketball 3v3 Mix trophy was lifted by Team Firehawks.
In Powerlifting (Deadlift), Khushi (Architecture) secured the Women’s title, while champions across weight categories in Men’s included Pathikadarsh (Pharmacy), Pratham Kumar (MBA), Ashmit Singh (CSE), and Parth Kaushal (CSE).
With its vibrant competitions and resounding participation, Sports Week 2025 stood as a testament to Chitkara University’s commitment to nurturing holistic development and promoting the ideals of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
