Chitkara University, Punjab, marked the 77th Republic Day with a campus-wide celebration bringing together students, faculty and staff. The day began with a disciplined parade, followed by cultural presentations reflecting constitutional values and national heritage.

In her remarks, Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro Chancellor, Chitkara University highlighted the importance of engaging with constitutional ideals in educational institutions. “Republic Day invites us to reflect on the principles that shape our democracy and to engage with them thoughtfully within our academic spaces,” she said.

The celebrations featured music and dance performances by student clubs, presenting a blend of classical and contemporary expressions. The programme acknowledged the enduring legacy of Vande Mataram, marking 150 years of its place in the country’s public life.
