Chitkara University Athletes Clinch Three Medals at Track Asia Cup 2025

Chitkara University once again demonstrated its commitment to nurturing world-class sporting talent as its students brought home three medals at the Track Asia Cup 2025. Competing against some of the continent’s finest young cyclists, Chitkara University’s BBA first-year students showcased exceptional skill, determination, and discipline, placing India on the podium with distinction.
Harshita Jakhar emerged as the standout performer of the Indian contingent, delivering a historic performance in the Junior Women’s Individual Pursuit. Clocking an impressive 3:59.284 in the finals, she defeated the Junior Asian Record holder, Samira Ismailova of Uzbekistan, securing India’s only gold medal at this edition of the tournament. Harshita’s remarkable display of endurance, speed, and strategy not only earned her international acclaim but also highlighted Chitkara University’s focus on empowering young athletes to excel on global stages.
In addition to her gold, Harshita showcased consistent brilliance in the Junior Women’s Scratch Race, earning a silver medal and marking a double podium finish. Her achievements underscore both personal dedication and the high-quality sports infrastructure and training support provided by Chitkara University, which equips students to compete at elite levels.
Joining her on the podium was Aditya Jakhar, who claimed the bronze medal in the Junior Men’s 1km Time Trial. Making his international debut, Aditya impressed spectators and officials alike with his precision, speed, and composure, further reinforcing Chitkara University’s reputation for producing versatile athletes capable of performing under pressure.
