Chitkara University at Spoken Fest 2026 Highlights Learning Beyond Classrooms

Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro Chancellor, Chitkara University, attended Spoken Fest 2026 held in Mumbai, joining artists, speakers and audiences at the cultural event. Her visit formed part of the university’s continued engagement with platforms that encourage dialogue and creative expression.
During the festival, Dr. Chitkara attended a session between Piyush Mishra and Roshan Abbas, which focused on art, society and the responsibility that comes with creative work. The discussion addressed integrity, courage and the importance of staying rooted in one’s values in a fast-changing world.
She also met renowned comedian Zakir Khan during the event. The interaction highlighted the importance of authenticity and staying grounded while navigating public life and creative success.
Speaking about the experience, Dr. Madhu Chitkara said, “When young people listen to artists and thinkers speak openly about their journeys, it helps them understand that success must be guided by values. Such platforms encourage reflection, curiosity and responsibility, which are essential in both personal and professional life.”
A cohort of 25 students from the Chitkara School of Mass Communication contributed to the event through on-ground operations, audience coordination and promotional support, gaining practical exposure to organising a large cultural festival.
Chitkara University’s participation at Spoken Fest 2026 connects academic programs with practical experience. The presence of its leadership and students shows the university’s ongoing commitment to learning beyond the classroom.
