“Since Gunraj has already told you guys about the Interview Procedure so I won’t go around it again.
The Google Students Club was formed just after I returned back from the GSA summit which was held at the Infosys Campus, Pune. We got around 250+ registrations from the students who were interested to get into the club at various positions. After short-listing and interviewing some of them, we included 12 of the brightest minds of the campus into our club.
Since the formation of the club we have organized three events which are as follows:
Approit- The focus of this event was to promote the Android technology and its open-source nature, along with creating awareness that’d help potential developers get a push into the field. The jury for the same was sponsored by Google itself Mr. Imran Khan who is the Android Development Lead @ Trigma in Chandigarh who ensured that all the participants should have a learning experience along with a real feel of how to develop and deploy apps. Around 12 teams participated in this event and 7 won free Google Play Store Accounts. This event was also featured as a success story in the GSA Newsletter.
Digital Marketing 101- It was an event centred on Google Adwords, blogging and social media marketing. With the ongoing boom of the same, Google Students Club, Chitkara University, Punjab campus organized an interactive session-cum workshop which had its aim as making the participants aware of what Google AdWords and Social Media Marketing is the factors that make it so along with Blogging and how generation of revenue is possible through the same.
