Chitkara University ranked among Global Top 1,000 Universities in ARWU 2026

Chitkara University has entered the world’s top 1,000 universities in the Shanghai Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) 2026, securing a position in the 901–1000 band. The University has also secured rankings across key academic, research and performance indicators, marking its presence in one of the widely recognised global university rankings.

The University has secured a rank of 317+ in Alumni, 161+ in Award and 820+ in HiCi (Highly Cited Researchers). These rankings cover different aspects of academic recognition and research performance.

In research and publication-related indicators, Chitkara University has secured a rank of 1984+ in N&S (Nature & Science) and 552 in PUB, covering papers indexed in the Science Citation Index-Expanded and Social Science Citation Index. The University has also secured a rank of 1010 in PCP (Per Capita Performance).
