Chitkara University Hosts Blood Donation Camp

The National Service Scheme (NSS) organised a blood donation camp at Chitkara University in association with Rajindra Hospital, Patiala. The camp was conducted in collaboration with the Chitkara School of Planning and Architecture, Department of Culinary Arts, Chitkara College of Hospitality Management, and Chitkara University School of Maritime Studies, with support from VEINS-2- Village.

Students, faculty, and staff took part in the camp, during which a total of 100 units of blood were collected to support medical needs. The medical team ensured that the donation process was safe, hygienic, and well organised. Donors were given refreshments, donor cards, and certificates, and the camp also raised awareness about the importance of blood donation while encouraging a sense of social responsibility.

Such initiatives reflect the university’s continued efforts in community service and public health.
