Students conduct street play based on social evils at various places

After carrying out various village surveys and awareness campaigns, a street play was carried out by about 30 students of Chitkara University at various places, including the office of gram panchayat, Kalujhanda and Aanganwari, village Shera, P.O. Barotiwala.

They conducted a campaign and during the campaign, they interacted with the villagers. The students stated that the villagers gave a positive response to their campaign and they pledged to minimize the use of alcohol and drugs, a major problem looming large over the state, fight various other social evils and work for the betterment of society.

The ‘Nukkad Natak’ aimed at countering problems like drug abuse, alcohol dependency, female feticide, etc. students who were key players behind the event were Anmol Dang, Amandeep Kukkar, Gagandeep Singh, coordinators, Art of Living and NSS Unit, Chitkara University. The play was directed by Yashdeep Gandhi, Cultural Secretary, Chitkara University.
