Over forty NSS student volunteers from Chitkara School of Mass Communication organised and participated in a campaign promoting ‘Safe and Green Holi’. This event was specially conducted for the school children of ‘Government High School’ at Urdan village.

This programme aimed to inspire the children to play safe holi. To start off, the significance of the festival was narrated by the students. The function comprised of various events including poem recitation, nukkad natak, musical performances and even a humorous show to raise awareness in a lighter vein.

Along with these awareness activities, fun games were also organized in which the school children participated enthusiastically. The school children were also involved in various cultural activities and prizes were given out for participation. In line with the theme of the event, herbal colours were also distributed along with playing ‘tilak holi’ to spread the message of piousness associated with the festival.

Mr. Bhupinder Singh, Principal, Government Middle School, Urdan shared “It was wonderful to see the students from the Chitkara University interacting with the students of our school.
