Before discovering the SAVERS routine, I felt lost in my own life—constantly overwhelmed, unfocused, and stuck in a cycle of wanting change but never knowing how to create it. My days lacked direction, and I struggled to build the habits I knew I needed. But once I committed to SAVERS—Silence, Affirmations, Visualization, Exercise, Reading, and Scribing—everything started to shift.

It gave me structure, but more than that, it gave me clarity. I began each morning grounded and focused, and for the first time in a long time, I felt in control. I became more disciplined, more intentional, and more connected to the person I wanted to be. Reading became a joy, not a chore, and my mindset grew stronger each day.

TThe transformation wasn’t just in my routine—it was in me. SAVERS didn’t just help me build better habits; it helped me find myself again.

My Experience with the Happiness Centre 😊

When I joined university, I was honestly very stressed. I used to feel alone and had a big fear of speaking in front of people or on stage. I would avoid situations where I had to talk in front of others, and everything felt overwhelming at first.

But then I joined the Happiness Centre — and it changed everything for me. It didn’t feel like just a place for activities, it felt like a family. The team there supported me, counseled me, and helped me come out of my shell. They taught me to be myself and not to fear judgment. Slowly, I started building confidence. I learned a lot — from communication and leadership to networking and making social connections. They gave me so many chances to volunteer in different events, which helped me grow even more. I also got involved in many of their amazing projects, like meditation, where I found a peaceful space with people who shared the same vibe. I also joined the Skillverse course: Happiness Code, and it really helped me build new skills and habits that I use every day now.

Looking back, joining the Happiness Centre was one of the best decisions I made. It truly changed me for the better.

Before joining the Happiness Centre, I was going through a tough time. I looked fine from the outside, but inside I felt confused, tired, and a little lost. I didn’t know how to deal with my emotions or talk about what I was feeling. But everything started to change after I became a part of the Happiness Centre.

I found a place where I felt safe, heard, and accepted just the way I am. Slowly, I started smiling again—genuinely. The sessions, the activities, and the people here helped me open up and understand myself better. I learned that it's okay to feel low and that I don’t have to hide my emotions. I became more confident, peaceful, and full of hope.

The Happiness Centre became a second home to me—a place that helped me heal and grow. I’m truly grateful for this beautiful journey and the transformation it brought.

I’m Ishika, and before joining the Happiness Centre, I was in a very different place. I used to overthink everything. I wasn’t focused, I didn’t have any clarity about my life, and I had no idea about what I wanted to do in the future. I didn’t know my interests, my talents, or even what I was truly capable of. Deep down, I knew I was lost and completely out of track. I was just going with the flow without any direction.

Everything started to change when I became a part of the Happiness Centre. I got the opportunity to work under two amazing mentors – Manav Sir and Kiran Ma’am – who guided me, supported me, and stood by me through every step of my journey. They didn’t just help me professionally, but also shaped my personal growth. Being here helped me discover so much about myself. I realized that I love working with people, managing teams, and taking responsibilities. I became more consistent, sincere, and focused in everything I did. For the first time, I felt like I was moving with purpose. I finally found my goal and got the clarity on what I truly want to do and who I want to become. One thing that helped me a lot during this journey was the SAVERS technique. It brought discipline into my life, made me mentally stronger, and helped me control my overthinking. I started my mornings with better energy and had more control over my thoughts and emotions throughout the day.

I’m honestly so grateful to the Happiness Centre and to every person who played a role in helping me grow. This experience has shaped me into a better version of myself — someone who is more confident, focused, and clear about life. I’ll always carry this learning with me wherever I go.

Before becoming a part of the Happiness Center, I often found myself overwhelmed by the fast pace of student life and the pressure to constantly perform. There was little time to pause, reflect, or truly understand my emotions. I was seeking a space that encouraged personal growth and emotional well-being.

Joining the Happiness Center has been a transformative experience. It offered not only a supportive environment but also practical tools and activities that helped me develop greater self-awareness, resilience, and a balanced mindset. Today, I am honored to serve as a Managing Team Member and Social Media Team Member at the center. In these roles, I contribute to planning and executing wellness initiatives, managing student engagement, and spreading awareness about the importance of mental and emotional health.

The Happiness Center has played a significant role in my personal and professional development, and I am proud to be part of a team that actively promotes happiness, mindfulness, and growth within our community.

I am diya from BCA 3rd year. I joined the Happiness Centre when I was in my second year, and within a year I could see so much change in myself. Such a change that is indescribable, where to even start from, positive emotions, self love, discipline but most importantly the sense of belonging. Before I used to rome around the college and everyone and everything felt like a stranger. Today it feels familiar, feels like I have a place that seems like a family.

I have learned a lot, I am learning a lot. Everyday something new. And if I ever get a chance to start from the start I will still come back to the Happiness Centre , my safe place.

My journey with the happiness centre started when I joined the Public Speaking Course under the Skillverse initiative. Through this course, I gained confidence, learned to speak with clarity, and overcame my stage fright. Inspired by this transformation and eager to cultivate inner balance i further enrolled in the Centre’s Super 30 batch (savers program).

Before SAVERS:
Life felt like an endless blur overwhelmingly busy yet strangely hollow. My mind raced from morning till night, stress held me captive, and a nagging sense of something missing shadowed every achievement.

After SAVERS:
When I began practicing Savers I discovered equilibrium. The shift was profound: Silence cleared my thoughts; affirmations reshaped my mindset; visualization guided my goals; exercise energized me; reading sparked inspiration; and stillness grounded me in the present. Gradually, I became more focused, peaceful, and productive. All in all, SAVERS didn’t just improve my routine it redefined my way of life.

My experience with Skillverse (by Happiness Centre) – Public Speaking Course :
Attending the course by certified trainer Dr. Hardeep Anant was a memorable journey. This immersive program gave me :
• Tools to overcome stage fright and confidently command any room.
• Storytelling tactics for captivating audiences
• Voice modulation, body language & eye‑contact to elevate delivery

🎯 Final Thoughts :
The Happiness Centre has been my sanctuary of transformation. Through SAVERS, I cultivated inner harmony, focus, calm, purpose. Through Skillverse’s public speaking course, I found my voice, confidence, clarity, and charisma. Together, they’ve shaped me into a balanced, expressive individual ready to make an impact in both personal and professional spheres.

Student
Moksh
BE-CSE, 3rd Year

My name is Moksh, and I am currently in my third year of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering. When I joined the Chitkara University, I was a shy and underconfident student who found it difficult to express myself. That changed when I got connected with the Chitkara Happiness Centre during my first semester while enrolling in a Skillverse course.

Over the past two years, the Centre has become a very special part of my university journey. Through Skillverse courses such as public speaking, happiness code, cooking, and martial arts, I have grown into a more confident, expressive, and open person. The Centre gave me an amazing opportunity to meet and learn from students across different departments, each excelling in their own way, which inspired me to step out of my comfort zone and try new things. The Chitkara Happiness Centre is a true hub of growth and positivity. With the support of our Chief Happiness Officer, Mr. Manav Bansal, and Program Manager, Ms. Kiranjot Kaur, I found opportunities to learn new skills, participate in creative projects, and share ideas freely. The PERMA module helped me discover inner positivity, while the Meditation Room and guided sessions introduced me to mindfulness and self-awareness. Various speaker sessions organized by the Centre encouraged me to adopt healthier habits such as journaling, regular exercise, and practicing gratitude.

My journey began as a participant. Over time, I became a volunteer, a team member, and eventually a project leader. Organizing events with guidance and support from the Program Manager, working in teams, and co-leading the Inner Engineering project with Sejalpreet Kaur, an intern at the Centre, taught me resilience, teamwork, and leadership. The one-on-one interactions with the Chief Happiness Officer have always been a source of invaluable guidance and support throughout this wonderful journey. I am grateful for every opportunity and experience the Chitkara Happiness Centre has provided. It has helped me discover my strengths and become a better version of myself. What I have described here is just a drop in the ocean - there is so much more the Centre has given me.

To sum it up in one line: “The Chitkara Happiness Centre has made me who I am today, and I am truly grateful for its contribution to my life.”

Being a part of chitkara happiness centre has always been the best part of my life. I explored & visualised completely opposite side of myself being growing and enriching my personality and soul each day.

Every day was a new challenge, a new task and every time I accomplished it full enthusiasm ending up with lots of new learnings & experiences.
You not only grow but explore the hidden potential & qualities within you which makes you a perfect human being. It was a completely wonderful experience and all the credit goes to my mentors, 'Manav Bansal Sir & Dr. Hardeep Anant Sir', who trained me and made me capable of what I am today. Being part of this journey, I also started to score much more better performance in my academics than before because of the qualities, I gathered from the Happiness Centre.

See, as you know, Chitkara University's tagline is: "EXPLORE YOUR POTENTIAL", and if you ask me what my way of exploring potential inside the university is? Then, the first thing out of many comes to my mind is: HH Dalai Lama Centre For Happiness & Emotional WellBeing, also known as Happiness Centre. Out of the many doors to explore in the university, I have been a part of this from my very first day 1 of university till today, where I am in my 4th year, about to get placed.

This Happiness Centre has really played a transformative role in my journey of life, from overcoming shyness to learning public speaking, from anxiety to excitement doing new things, from just sitting lonely to attending events and even inviting the big guest speaker myself and leading the full event, from a very small circle of friends to networking across departments, not only with students but also with faculties comprising deans, directors, wardens, etc. From hardly being a team member to leading teams ethically. From having just a small goal of completing studies for a job to learning the real-life skill of HAPPINESS, and hence becoming a real student of life and designing it in my own unique way.

This Happiness Centre & the heart of it: Mr. Manav Bansal, the Chief Happiness Officer of Chitkara University, I have come a long way, growing internally and externally. I really love to be part of this and feel grateful and blessed to explore my potential here.

My journey with the Chitkara Happiness Centre has been truly transformative. From the very first day, I felt welcomed, supported, and seen. The environment here is built on trust, positivity, and genuine care. It’s not just a place — it’s a safe space to grow, learn, and evolve.

Through regular interactions and sessions, I’ve become more self-aware. The guidance I received helped me understand myself better. Whether it was about setting goals or managing stress, I was never alone. The mentors here don’t just advise — they listen, reflect, and guide you forward. Mental well-being is at the heart of everything they do. We’re taught how to care for our minds, emotions, and inner peace. Public speaking activities pushed me out of my comfort zone. I found my voice — not just in presentations, but in life. The events we organized gave me a sense of leadership and teamwork. Each project taught me something new: about people, challenges, and myself. There was always space for creativity and innovation. I’ve seen myself grow — mentally, emotionally, and socially. Every conversation at the Happiness Centre added value to my journey. It’s helped me build confidence, resilience, and purpose. The focus on positivity helped me navigate even the hardest days. It’s more than just a campus facility — it’s an experience. Today, I am a better version of myself because of this centre. It has helped shape not just who I am, but who I’m becoming. If growth, wellness, and clarity are what you're seeking, this is where you'll find them.

The Happiness Centre doesn’t give you all the answers — it helps you find them within. And that’s what makes all the difference.

Hello everyone! I'm Bhoomi — a Computer Science Engineering student at Chitkara University and also a part of the Chitkara Happiness Centre!

Being here has honestly changed a lot for me. Back then, I’d just stay in my shell... now I’m out there and loving it! I’m way more confident, expressive — and honestly, just more me. A big reason behind that is my PERMA journey. I stayed consistent with it — and every small activity helped me understand myself better. It really shifted how I think, feel, and show up every single day. And yes, I’ve also become way more focused — especially on my studies and personal goals! Plus, I’ve been managing some really cool projects at the centre — and I genuinely love doing that! It’s not just a place for me... it’s like my comfort zone, my growth space, and my happy bubble.

And honestly? I’m so, so glad to be a part of it all!

Being a part of the Happiness Center for the past year has been one of the most transformative journeys of my life. From the PERMA Project to initiatives centered around positive engagement, relationship building, and personal accomplishment—I’ve not only learned how to spread happiness but how to live it.

One of the most impactful parts of this journey has been practicing the SAVERS routine—Silence, Affirmations, Visualization, Exercise, Reading, and Scribing. These daily habits have helped me stay grounded, intentional, and aligned with my goals. They’ve strengthened my mindset, boosted my emotional resilience, and brought structure to my self-growth. I’m deeply grateful to Manav Sir and Kiran Ma’am for their constant support, encouragement, and trust in me. Thank you for giving me opportunities that challenged me, inspired me, and allowed me to become a better version of myself. What truly made this experience unforgettable is the bond I’ve built with my fellow team members at the Happiness Center. Each person brought their own energy and passion, and together we created not just events—but beautiful, heartfelt memories. Our unity, laughter, and shared purpose made the team feel like a second family. At the same time, Booknatics Club played a major role in enhancing my leadership, creativity, and collaboration skills. And Skillverse’s public speaking course empowered me to express myself confidently and speak with authenticity.

Every moment—whether it was a quiet morning of reflection or a lively brainstorming session—has contributed to my personal and professional growth. I carry forward not just skills, but values, purpose, and a renewed sense of self.
