SAP Technologies organized a Hackathon on SAP HANA cloud Platform at Chitkara University on 21-22nd March, 2018. It was a 28:00hr coding Competition that continued overnight at Explore Hub.11 teams of 4 students each participated & showcased their coding skills. Two Experts from SAP labs – Vipin and Mahaluckshmi, gave few business challenges to the students to come out with innovative solutions using SAP technologies. The competition was tough as the main challenge was to learn to use SAP tool & then make project. Students were very enthusiastic about it as they had to cover few tutorials to learn the tool& then select a problem statement out of those given problem statements& then find and implement a solution to the chosen problem. 3 teams did highly appreciating work & were successful in convincing judges about their solutions & were awarded with Bluetooth speakers, VR Headsets & Laptop Bags each.There should always be more such hackathons as students get exposure to new technologies & urge to take up such challenges.
