Chitkara University School of Maritime Studies (CUSMS), associate institution of Chitkara University is the first institution in the Northern States of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and J&K to get Directorate General of Shipping (DGS), MoS, Government of India approval for both B.Sc. (Nautical science).

CUSMS shall facilitate acquisition of the right knowledge, right skills and the right attitude thereby promoting in candidates a passion for a career in the Merchant Navy. The School of Maritime Studies will constantly endeavour to expand its frontiers of knowledge by introducing diverse educational programs meeting the futuristic requirements of the maritime industry, keeping to its humanitarian ethos, holistic culture and value system.

Admissions for Standards of Training, Certification & Watch-keeping for Seafarers (STCW) courses – Basic Safety Training & STSDSD are now open.
Classes for the same would commence on December 1st, 2022 & December 15th, 2022 respectively.
