A succinct insight into IETE
The government of India has notified IETE as an Educational Institution of National Eminence. This recognition has fallen into place due to IETE being a leading professional society devoted to the advancement of Science and Technology of Electronics, Telecommunication and I.T. Government of India, Ministry of Science and Technology. Following this, the Department of Science and Industrial Research has recognized IETE as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation.
In order to attain human resource development, IETE promotes and conducts basic engineering and continuing technical education programmes.
There are a number of ways through which the IETE gives a chance to develop and improve technical and professional competencies. IETE offers access to latest developments in technology via:

Date of establishment of IETE chapter at Chitkara University
The inauguration of ISF (IETE Students Forum) at Chitkara Institute of Engineering Technology in ECE department took place on November 7 in 2009.
Objectives
- Promote and conduct basic engineering and continuing technical education programmes for human resource development.
- Organize Conference, Symposia and Workshop involving all concerned professionals, students and industry associations for development of the Discipline.
- Stimulate research and development in the Discipline.
- Bring out quality publication for all levels of leadership.
- Facilitate inter-disciplinary interaction with other organisations and individuals for the promotion of the Discipline.
