2018

HackwithHer

March’18 witnessed a remarkable Hackathon event organized at Chitkara University. The event had an overwhelming response with a participation of 40+ teams from Delhi, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh.

2019

HackwithHer 2.0

Organized on 8th to 9th March 2019 at Chitkara University in collaboration with IEEE PEC Student Branch. This event also received a humongous response with more than 40 teams from all over India. Thus motivating us to bring forth the third edition of Hackwithher this year.

2021

HackwithHer 3.0

Chitkara University in collaboration with IEEE CIET is organizing Hack With Her 3.0, a coding and hardware national level hackathon. Bringing a splendid opportunity for you to turn your ideas to codes along with knowledge regarding various hardware components.

CODEATHON

Competitive Coding Showdown

The Codeathon will be a “Competitive Programming Hackathon” and will focus on the technical skills of the participants. It will be a 24 hours competition, in which participants will be given some problems, and judged on the basis of their speed and efficiency.

Rules

  • Teams can consist of upto 4 students.
  • Extra benefits for teams with a female participant(s).
  • 24 hours will be given in total to code.
  • Problems use Data Structures, Algos, Inheritance, Bitwise Operators and other concepts.
  • Atleast one member should always be active on the given platform other than break-hours.
  • Idea should be unique and criteria for judging would be based on speed and efficiency.
  • Three teams would be selected after the second evaluation who will go for final round.

MAKEATHON

Theme Based Hackathon

This event will be a 2-day prototyping competition. Each team is assigned a particular theme and, using the available hardware, the teams prepare a prototype while ensuring that it satisfies all the specified requirements. The prototype may be working or a mockup. The judgment criteria include creativity, design and innovation.

Rules

  • Participants are requested to arrange their own hardware(as per requirement).
  • Teams can consist of upto 4 students.
  • Extra benefits for teams with a female participant(s).
  • Teams that make it to final round will be given upto 5 minutes to present their finished project to the panel of judges.
  • Atleast one member should always be active on the given platform other than break hours.
  • Idea should be unique and criteria for judging would be based on creativity, innovation and practicality of the idea.
  • Three teams would be selected after the second evaluation who will go for final pitching.
  • The final teams must send a video of their project in working.

What is the team size?
Upto 4 students can group up per team.
Unimpressive projects (that's what you think) should be presented too! Showcasing your hack will boost your confidence and judges can give perspective of where you can improve.
Are there prizes for all girl teams?
To promote and encourage equal gender participation we have special prizes just for girls!
No, students should not be working on their projects before the event begins. However, you can plan before with the team and get to know the technologies you intend to use.
