Everyday across the world, organizations witness fraudulent activities leading to a scandals and collapses. Who commits such frauds? Why? And How? In this workshop we will focus on What is fraud? Why and how it occurs?

There is a huge demand in industry to generate awareness among employees about the risk factors and red flags of frauds. Keeping this demand in mind, the objective of the workshop is to unpack the warning signals of frauds with a view to train participants in fraud scrutiny. About Resource Person

Ms. Shefali Saluja, Assistant Professor | Chitkara Business School

Shefali Saluja is working as an Assistant Professor in Chitkara Business School holding MBA specialization in financial markets and graduated from Punjab University in Economics Honours. She is also a doctoral candidate at Chitkara University conducting research on “Fraud Investigation”. With almost 3 years of past working experience in Ernst & Young Pvt Ltd -Risk Management, she has experience in conducting internal auditing risk mitigations for various clients and received extra mile client service awards. She has successfully completed an online course on “Forensic Accounting and Fraud Examination” from West Virginia University. Her current job position includes various teaching and administrative related responsibilities in the university. Additionally, handling various activities in the university and member of Quality Assurance and Entrepreneurship Cell in the University.

Shefali was also invited internationally for teaching a module on “Failing corporates” at Emden University, Germany. She has successfully presented research papers in national and international conferences such as conference on Management and Information Systems (ICMIS-19) at Bangkok (Thailand), CHITKARA UNIVERSITY DOCTORAL CONSORTIUM- 16th May,2019, ICSED-2k19: Business Transformation through Sustainability, Entrepreneurship and Digitalization- 2019-Ghaziabad, India, November 9, 2019, Online International conference on Marketing 5.0 6th to 7th June,2020.

Her interests include volunteer work/community involvement at social NGOs like Khalsa Aid, AIESEC and Sunshine Youth club.
