Introduction
AIESEC, was earlier known as Association internationale des étudiants en sciences économiques et commerciales. In English it was known as International Association of Students in Economic and Commercial Sciences; but this name no longer exists.
Every year, with a network of 113 countries and about 20,000 international internship, valuable international experience, along with exposure is provided to young minds by AIESEC. It provides you with an intense learning experience that enables you to live and work overseas.
AIESEC is currently working with thousands of companies and organisations in order to support a consistent employer branding and international talent acquisition that is highly competitive.
AIESEC in Chandigarh
A local chapter of Delhi IIT started AIESEC in Chandigarh in 1988. Presently, about 60 talented individuals from various educational institutes of the city are a part of the local chapter, including students from the Chitkara University. These people get immense exposure to various cultures and get a great learning environment.
Internship opportunities are being provided by AIESEC in various sectors like the corporate sector, development sector and the education sector.
Issues like education, CSR, HIV/AIDS, Technology and Entrepreneurship are the areas where AIESEC interns have worked.
