National Service Scheme of Chitkara University (Pb), along with Chitkara Rotaract Club, organized a blood donation in collaboration with Rajindra Hospital Patiala.

Blood donation is service to humankind and by donating blood you many and save a precious life. Our students and staff were at it with all their compassion and willingness. Almost 100 units of blood was donated by the students and faculty members of Chitkara School of Hospitality, Chitkara School of ‪‎Health‬ ‪‎Sciences‬ and Chitkara School of ‪Nursing‬. Students were awarded with a participation certificate by Punjab State Blood Transfusion Council.

Everyone tried to do their bit to save human lives. India has a massive shortage of blood that can save several lives. This shortage can be fulfilled if we decide to donate blood atleast once a year.

The University organizes blood donation camp and other camps that addresses various social concerns on a regular basis and our NSS volunteers are an integral part of these various activities that are carried out in the University and outside it.

The camp proved to be successful and a lot of enthusiasm was seen among the students and the staff of the University. Apart from collecting blood, awareness on the importance of blood donation was also spread among everyone at the University.
