The Mechstein Club was started in 2002 on the initiatives of Er Amit Goyal, Lecturer, Mechanical Engineering Department. Mecque Genie, as it was named earlier, was the only Technical Club in Mechanical Engineering Department at that time. The Club's responsibility was then taken over by Er. Vishal Sharma, Lecturer, Mechanical Engineering Department as Faculty Advisor. The team then had following student members: Simranjeet Singh (CEO), Siddharth Kaul (PRO), Vikas Chabra (Head Technical Committee), Sushant Dhamija and Shashank Mankotia as Executive Committee members. Now, after 4 years of its existence, the club has been rechristened as - MECHSTEIN with a notion that the club wants to churn out students who would be technically sound to their mechanical instincts and globally competent.
The main goal of Mechstein Club is to facilitate communication between the Engineering Society, the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the entire Mechanical Engineering undergraduate student body in C.I.E.T. Mechstein Club strives to create a social atmosphere for all Mechanical Engineers while representing undergraduate students’ interests within the Mechanical Engineering Department. The members of Mechstein Club include all Mechanical Engineering undergraduate students who are currently studying at the CIET in the Mechanical Engineering Department.
