The first round involved Submission of the Abstracts in the IEEE format. Teams whose abstracts were shortlisted were invited to exhibit their idea in front of a panel of judges in. The participants were judged on the basis of Content, Innovation of the Technology being proposed/presented, Handout/Technical Paper (IEEE format) and supporting documents. The level of the competition was very high and the concepts presented were highly unique.
  • DESIGN THE DECK: A Technical Rangoli contest was organized on 9th April’10. Five themes were provided to the participants:
    • I Won’t Let my Planet Melt
    • Will I be Extinct tomorrow?
    • Who’s the Predator? Man or Wild?
    • What’s up with my Carbon Footprint?!

A Quiz competition was organized for the students of ECE Department on 2nd-3rd of March, 2010. Three rounds were designed:
  1. Written Round, which consisted of 45 questions (15 Technical Fundamentals, 15 Aptitude, 15 Verbal). The test duration was 30 minutes. A total of 11 teams were shortlisted out of the 78 which participated.
  2. Quizzer Round, which consisted of a simple Question-Answer round in which subject choices were given to the teams out of History, Geography, Sports, Science & Technology and GK. 3 out of the 11 teams reached the final round.
  3. Buzzer Round, which was pure GK based.
 ROBOTICS EVENTS (2009)
  • ROBO-CRAFT: It was the major attraction of the events conducted under E-Buzz. The event took place in seminar hall in Edison block with a team of maximum 4 members. It was basically a line follower competition i.e. the bots prepared by the students need to traverse on the black line on a white background. A good interest was shown by all branch students with a major crowd from the second year electronics people. A record of robot following line with 384.44cm/sec was made with the maximum battery supply of 12V. Students used various micro controllers such as Atmel, Philips to design the robot. On the whole, the event was a great success nurturing awareness concerning technology.

  • INNOVATION: It was another great success under E-Buzz. It was basically a paper/ppt presentation competition which was held in Edison Block. A team of 2 were entertained in this event. Various technologies and concepts such as wifi, quantum were undertaken by the students and we came across to see some quite interesting and knowledgeable presentations. Confidence, Knowledge of the topic, and awareness of technology were the basic facts on which the students were evaluated by our esteem judges from college faculty. Precisely, this event again highlighted the various form of technologies which are and will be helpful in overall development of the nation.

  • ROBO-CLAN: It was another robotics based event which had participation in the form of max. 4 persons/team. Teams need to showcase a robot being made by them with a power point presentation to highlight the technology or technologies on which their work was actually based. Showcase needed to be an operating model of the robot. We had some people bringing up a wireless controlled four wheeled drive whose application could be in mining industry , military applications etc. On the whole, the event was a great success again with the help and moral support of our prestigious faculty and college administration.
 ROBOTICS WORKSHOP (2008)
In association with IEEE, E-Buzz organized a robotics workshop for the students of Chitkara Institute of Engineering and Technology. It was a great learning experience for the budding engineers. It really enlightened the students to work towards wider avenues and research in the high technology field of robotics. People from IIT Delhi conducted the workshop.
