Chitkara College of Education for Women (CCEW) established in the year 2003, duly recognized by National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) and Government of Punjab was permanently affiliated to Punjabi University, Patiala. The Permanent affiliation has been accorded by the University Syndicate vide letter no. 4251/ (COLLEGE)/ G.C.-1 under Para no. 33.4. w.e.f. 24.03.2009. Now, Chitkara College of Education for Women is a constituent college of Chitkara University, Punjab, w.e.f. Session 2011-12. Chitkara University has been established under Punjab Pvt. University policy 2010 by the state Govt. vide State Act no. 23 of 2010. The College has been accredited 'A' Grade with a CGPA of 3.14 on a 4 point scale by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore.

Chitkara College of Education for Women (CCEW) will be for some the beginning, and for others a continuation, of a pathway into the profession of teaching, learning, organizational leadership and psychology. Undertaking this journey requires courage - it is actually undertaking a lifestyle that both honors and challenges the mysteries of people as they do the personal work of developing as individuals and then move outside of them learning to use the power of education to change the world.

We have created a highly personal and flexible department, committed to hands-on scholarship and research, subject oriented teaching, and a democratic approach to adult education. The final aim will be to provide extensive placement opportunities at national and international level.

CCEW boasts of world class infrastructure for training future professionals in the field of Education. We offer well-equipped laboratories along with spacious classrooms equipped with the latest teaching aids.

The college also boasts of state of the art Language Lab which really contributes to improving the all important communication skills. CCEW has comprehensive hardware and software computing resources to support its educational and research programs with more than 150 color workstations as well as a fully equipped Instructional Media Lab.

Our Library has a total collection of over more than 6000 documents covering all disciplines of Science, Arts, Languages, Technology and Education journals.
