B.E. - International Programs
An initiative of Chitkara University, B.E. (International) is a unique four year Engineering program under which students complete the first 2 years of the Engineering degree at Chitkara University - Punjab campus and the next two years in USA / UK / Australia / Canada / European Partner Universities.
This program is the new age torchbearer of innovative educational concepts, which widens the scope of educational opportunity and access for students. This concept gives the student community a wide range of choice to learn and assimilate, to unfurl the intricate concepts of the subjects of various programs through a well-made and meticulously executed academic rigour. It provides a unique opportunity for Engineering students to secure a degree from a pool of world's best universities and also offers an opportunity for the students to live, interact and learn in two different cultural environments. Education, perhaps more than any other discipline or area of professional activity, is global in its nature, scope and impact. A major innovation in the higher education pertaining to international studies in India is the "Twinning Program" concept.
"Twinning" allows a foreign partner institution to offer the first half of their university degree program by replicating segments of the curricula. Courses offered in India are clones of the university courses, using identical syllabi, titles, numbers, texts, teaching formats, and evaluation standards as their model on-campus. This is structured as 2+ 2 program. For instance, students enrolling with Chitkara University for Undergraduate Engineering program will complete their two years of study at Chitkara University, Punjab in India and later move over to the partner universities in USA and other countries and complete the rest of the program in two years to secure B.E. degree from Chitkara University and the relevant Engineering degree from the International University.  A Credit Transfer Facility
Our credit transfer system is at par with international standards and conforms to all of their teaching methodology norms and curriculum. The first two years of the program are equivalent to studying in International universities ensuring smooth credit transfer when a student transfers to an International University. Most of the International Universities accept credit transfers of our program. Apart from classroom training, the program also follows the assessment, learning orientation, lab and workshop systems similar to that of International Universities. Besides the partner Universities, Chitkara students are eligible to apply for credit transfers to other renowned institutions.
A Reputed Track Record
Chitkara University has achieved great success with similar joint programs with institutions such as George Brown College and Central Michigan University which has been in place since the year 2006.

Since the first two years of the program are conducted in India students save up to 40% of the cost of an International education. Getting a four-year foreign degree by spending only two years abroad is an amazing opportunity to secure an overseas undergraduate BS degree from a prestigious overseas university and the student as against spending Rs 45 lacs ($ 90,000), would spend close to Rs 26 lacs. The format of the program offers students the flexibility of in choosing and changing the area of specialization in Engineering that is not possible in the Indian scenario. Universal Academic Curriculum
B.E International program follows the curriculum and assessment system of international universities. The students are expected to work hard and maintain a good score throughout the four semesters in order to articulate into the degrees offered by the international universities.

Admission Details
Admission to the Under Graduate Twining Program is purely on merit based on academic performance in Class XII / equivalent. It is mandatory for the candidate applying for the twinning program in Engineering to secure a minimum aggregate of 60% / secures 60% in Physics , Chemistry and Maths in Class XII.
The candidate would have to appear for a personal interview to be assessed for good communication skills and right supportive family background. Tuition Fee & Costs
